Gary was killed while working on his own 30 ft boat at his marina in EHT,NJ on 3/19/10. The boat exploded killing him instantly. My family & I were all thrown into shock & a great loss. Gary & his wife, Sheri, had run two marina facilities since 1995. One in Hammonton, where they lived, and the marina in EHT. Gary was a charasmatic, fun loving, person who had no fear of enjoying himself in life. He was an avid boater, model train enthusiast, water sports of all kind enthusist, and an excellant boat mechanic known througout Southern NJ for his talents.
He also served on the "River Board" to help the envirnoment & better care of the Greater Egg Harbor River that he loved & played on for years.
His death shocked so many people, that he had over 600 people at his veiwing. I hope he realized just
"How Much He Truly Was Loved."
The world & my family lost a very shiny star, that day.
Since his death, I had taken over running the marina he died at, in EHT on weekends, to help his widow.
The Watering Hole Bar in Mays Landing, NJ had named their baseball field after Gary with a large sign for all to see.
So. all of our lives have definately changed since 3/19/10.
I knew I had walk ed in his shoes, and I knew he was there with me.
On May 25, 2011, Hidden Mill Marina was sold. It had ben owned by my family members since 1998.
Ending an era for all of us & my brother's dream.
We all move forward now, with his memory still very much alive in our hearts.
RIP My Baby Brother. I will always miss you. xo
